Certified Romanian ↔ English Translations

A certified translation is a complete translation accompanied by a signed statement from the translator. GOV.UK guidance requires that statement to confirm it is a “true and accurate translation of the original document”, and to include the date of the translation along with the translator’s full name and contact details. It does not need to be notarised or signed by a solicitor.

Any document you submit that is not in English or Welsh must be accompanied by a full translation that can be independently verified. If you are unsure whether your document needs certifying, mention the purpose of the translation in your enquiry and it can be reviewed before a quote is provided.

No. A translation must be produced by an independent translator rather than by the applicant, a friend or a family member, and machine translation is not accepted for official purposes. This is why an independent, professionally qualified translator is required.

General text translation is charged from £0.12 per word and legal document translation from £0.20 per word. Official documents are priced per page. An optional certification statement is £20. Final pricing depends on document complexity, urgency, formatting, language direction and legibility, so every project is quoted individually.
